In short: Hilly in places but fun
In full: This is a great local Bank Holiday race. Entry on the day. It's a 10 mile race and a 5 mile fun run. Only around 40 entrants for the 10 miler but plenty of local support. 10 miler is 2 laps of the 5 mile course. Several sharpish hills but also matching downhills! Seemed to be water and sponge stations at about every mile! Certificate for finishing and tea and cake in the church hall afterwards.

In short: Hilly challenging course, 2 laps of 5 miles
In full: I took the 10 mile option. This is a small race in terms of numbers but by no means easy. There is a fair amount of uphill to run, it's not too steep but long sections of it so it's challenging. Two laps of the 5 mile route. The entry fee was a bargain for the distance. You get a certificate for completing. Watch out for the ford between mile 4-5 & again mile 9-10. Crowd were good in the start/finish area

In short: Undulating 10m there are easier ones to do, but then you won't get served tea in the church afterwards and have your certificate completed and presented to you by the timing marshals.

In short: Very welcoming, very well organised. Small friendly event. Gentle hills throughout. LOADS of water stations. I noticed sponges at one station. Very quiet country lanes. Marshals on key points. Clear marker signs every mile. Marshal car drove round.

In short: Brilliant
In full: Well organised, turn up on the day and enter! Not an easy course, but there were plenty of children who entered it, so not lung bursting. Nice village atmosphere. Well worth it, a fiver for the five miler, £7 for the 10 miler, which was two laps. Thank you Thornborough.

In short: a scenic run, with brilliant support from marshalls and friendly supporters all round
In full: this was a race set in a very pretty village-enough to take your mind off the hills!on arrival, everything was easily located and set out clearly. good crowd support from the runners who had completed the 5mile run and cheered on the 10milers as they came through for the 2nd loop.nice that the certificate at the end was personal and marshalls took the time to note split times and record it. the strong winds made it a challenge but id definately do it again. the small amount doing the 10mile made it more friendly.

In short: Lovely Little Event
In full: Lovely day out in Thornborough today. Did the 10m race... probably only 50 others. Two lap circuit with some steady up and nice long downs. Bit windy today to go too fast but still happy with my time. Fantastic organisation and very friendly too. Finishing on the village green was great. Lots of people out with drinks from the local pub. Must hold the record for the earliest water station in a race... 300 metres maybe? and then at least 4 more on a five mile course. Thank you the people of Thornborough

In short: Not a Fun Run but FANTASTIC!!
In full: Testing course, 2 laps for the 10 mile run. Bargain price, fantastic marshalling. Lovely scenary. The course was either up or down with long hills rather than steep ones, but there were simply LOADS of children doing it, so it cant be that bad!
Do it for a fun day with the Family!!
