In short: Very low-key event but well worth a visit!
In full: Very hot day but still managed to get a new PB. Really enjoyed the 2 - lap 10 mile course. Marshals were encouraging and plenty of them. Wasn't easy finding an entry form so a little bit more pre race organisation would hugely improve the turnout. Also need to buy more bananas next year! Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon. I'll be back. :)

In short: Fabulous local race
In full: A great race, almost the whole village turned out, children's races, youngsters and a 5 or 10 mile adult option.. Kelly Homes was there all day ran with the kids and gave out the medals.. Excellent.. Well done Mark.

In full: Lovely local race which was meticulously organised and brilliantly supported my the local community who came out to cheer and support. Regular water stations and distances to suit everyone. It was a lovely touch having the children's race, where Dame Kelly Holmes came along to start the race, run with the children and hand out medals. A very special touch. Brilliant race, would do it again next year.

In short: Nice country woodland route
In full: 4 months into running so thought I'd give this localish one a go, only opted for the 5 miles though and something now I'm very happy I did!

We arrived with plenty of time to spare, signs were positioned well and everything ran really smoothly.

Also got to watch Kelly Holmes present the 1 mile runners with their medals before we began our main race.

Unfortunately just as we started the sun decided to come out from behind the clouds, this combined with the quite undulating hills (felt like mountains) really took it out of me today and I came in with quite a slow time.

Overall though everything else was brilliant and ran perfectly, the medal is also quite a nice one :)

Would certainly give it another go next year after some more hill work.

In short: Nice 2-lapper round quiet country lanes. With shorter races on the same programme.

In short: Very enjoyable
In full: Did the 10 miler, and thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 laps along quiet country lanes. Looked as if plenty of effort had been put in by organisers; well marshalled, and with good changing facilities etc; just a pity that the turnout was so small (2nd lap felt like one of my solo training runs....only harder!). Friendly village feel, with plenty of family involvement. Well done, and thanks!

In short: nice race and course
In full: I would echo previous comments about this race - its a nice 2x5 mile course. Its deserves a better turn out, but is competing against a lot of events in the area.
