In short: Challenging course; lovely shirt long-sleeved and interesting colours.
In full: I had already read posts about this course before taking part, so I knew what to expect, thank goodness! Actually, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't TOTALLY uphill for the first 4 miles. As another reviewer has written, the downhills are almost as wearing on the legs as the uphills. Of course, you never make up the lost time on the downhills, so it beats me how anyone can give this course a PB rating of 60%! (Unless it's your first ever 10 miler!). Anyway, this was great preparation for the Clarendon half marathon I did on the 30th Sept. as that's just as hilly, if not worse! Apologies to the lady who found my "steam engine" breathing off-putting! and to the lady (wearing black, if I recall) who passed me on one of the downhill bits, you have one of the most elegant running styles I have ever seen.

In short: Best marshalls I have seen. Very friendly and supportive. Great PA at the end as well, gave me a lift over the line.
In full: Very hard race, uphill for the first 4 miles. The only negative is the last few miles through a housing estate. The marshalls were fantastic. As were the drink stations and the organisation at the end. Great t-shirt.

In short: Had a good race, and very senic
In full: This was a good race, and was an excellent training run as it was undulating and provided good experience with long down hill sections as well. The race was well organised.

In short: The hills are very testing but with a long downhill as a reward.
In full: This is my second year at this event and it seems to get better each time. A really well organised event with the best T-shirt to date. Will be back again next year.

In short: Yes it's worth it.
In full: When you are trying to make time up, on the way down, it tests your lactic threshhold pace.
Please, on hill races, a course profile in my view, is as essential as the course map.
