In short: Great fun - great goody bag!
In full: Suitable for beginners as well as PB chasers. Very well organised and the goody bag had 17 separate items, all useful - must be some sort of record!

In short: Beautigull scenery great course fantastic goody bag great medal
In full: As improving runners (we only started last sept) My wife and i are big fans of a day out at Clumber so the chance to undertake our first trail run at such a lovely location was too good to pass up. I was a little dubious when I found out race no. etc wouldnt be posted out however when we arrived had a nice stroll to the village from the car. Spotted a steward straight away who advised i needed to fill out disclaimer and then go collect my number. stroll back to the car was used as an oppourtunity to limber up once i had done my warm up and the organised warm up off we went. Thought the course was very good muddy enough to feel adventourous very pretty surroundings i found it quite an acceptable challenge and beat my road PB.
Overall excellent brilliant goody bag.
I would have liked to see more trade stands but thats a minor negative.
Looking forward to next year

In short: Easy introduction to trail running
In full: First time for this event, having done a few in Lake District, so found it fairly easy going. Probably held too much in reserve so could have prob knocked a few mins off time, but was still quite pleased with 54 mins.
Event organisation was all good, with decent stalls, food etc, and even got a spoy prize which was nice. Only moan was the prize giving at 13.00 when nearly all the slower runners were still out on the course. As this probably included a decent percentage of first timers, it would have been nice to give them the chance of a spot prize and maybe add some extra encouragement to return.
That said it was a goood event and would probably do it again even if it doesn't sit on the 'must do' list.

In short: Great course but a bit of a faff with the logistics
In full: The run itself was great. The most enjoyable 10k I've done through lovely scenery on interesting trails. However, getting from the car to get my number etc was a good brisk 8 minutes walk. So by the time I'd walked there, back to the car to get changed and back to the start again it was a fair old trek. Also After queueing for 5 mins to get my number I was told I had to go to another tent to sign the liability form then come back and join the queue again. All a bit of a pain in the arse TBH. Why can't everything just be posted out ? - it is 2013.

In short: Great organisation and great prizes
In full: This is the second year of running this event which I would do again. It is steep for a 10k but you do get a lot of goodies for it and it has the feel of a big event, the course also measured quite a bit over. The organisation is great, plenty of loo's and great give always, goodie bags and prizes. Lovely location if the weather is good its worth spending the day there.

In short: Well organised, friendly and great for a family day out
In full: Nice undulating run through the forest with enough mud and uneven ground to keep it interesting. Really good day out. Lots to do for kids and somewhere for a drink and bite to eat afterwards. Fab location. Great goody bag. Good technical t-shirt and nice medal. Very well organised. Will definitely do it again.

In short: difficult run but still fun for beginners
In full: 2nd year ive run this race and it seemed a lot harder this year some reason. Nice tech shirt and medal, also better goodie bag than last year with lots of freebies at the runners world stand.
