In short: Stunning scenery in a well organised race In full: Some lovely scenery of open grasslands, woodland and herds of deer - not what you'd expect this close to the Centre of London. There was a wide mix of runners from the first timers to (if I heard rightly) the 600 timers! Liked the starting straight with the union flags on each side. The marshalls were friendly and did a great job controlling the traffic and giving encouragement. There was some good support on the route as well. This one was tough too so I left feeling a great sense of achievement having completed it. A good medal, t-shirt and pen awaited as a reward at the end, and with Olympian David Weir as guest starter there was nothing more you could want really. Likely to be back again next year. In short: Excellent morning spent in the park In full: Well organised with ace marshalls, this is a great race round Richmond Park. A morning spent running in the sun passed deer and over the undulations of Richmond is always a morning well spent. Have done it twice now and will be back again. Date of review: May 19, 2015
In short: Gorgeous scenery, fairly challenging course In full: A really nice race, well organised, great marshals, fantastic scenery and a lovely medal. Small field of runners but all abilities represented. Will be back at some point in the future Date of review: May 18, 2015
In short: Fab race!! In full: Loved this! First time for me and really loved it - great parking, loos, easy to find, everything worked really well. Fab course, not as hilly as I was expecting but still tough! Lovely marshals & great at keeping the traffic and some angry cyclists at bay! Very friendly and well organised. My ONLY grumbles were that there were no small tshirts left by the time I finished (& was sub 4 so by no means near the back!) and also there was no food at the finish either - whether this had already been scoffed I'm not sure, but again, finishing in under 4 hours you'd think there would be some left? Maybe the fast runners just eat loads! I never want chocolate (there was a Mars in the goody bag) - a banana would have been fab, but never mind. Other than that I loved it! In short: Really nice three loop run around Richmond Park In full: Third time I've done this run and always forget how hilly it is! For being in central London its very scenic, lots of trees, meadows and deer roaming around.
Always seems to be nice weather, decent trail, nice shirt, innovative medal, friendly marshalls, ice cream vans on the route for a cheeky 99 on the third loop what more could want (aside from 60 minutes off off my time! lol) Date of review: May 18, 2015
