In short: Again another great 5k event.
In full: I took part in the One Bolton 5k and though that was great, but the East Manchester was excellent. Although there was some windy weather the atmosphere was magic, with a real 'buzz' around the park. The marshals where great and very helpful, my son took part in the fun run and was over the moon when he received his fun run pack in the post. I have just got into running and this is a great start for beginners, it has also influenced my son to take up running. Looking foward to the Warrington 5k in June.

In short: Great Time!!!
In full: I did the Fun run and i had a great time. I had all the help and directions to complete the race and full support from the team. The route was very pleasent and it create a very joyable run. I finished it with a smile, after running it with my friend and it has encouraged me to coninue running. So i am looking forward to running the East Manchester 10K with legacy event in August!

In short: ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!
In full: I've never complained about a race before but im afraid i have to do with this one. I did the legacy event in bolton 2 weeks ago and that was alright but this was a joke! i entered the 5k and entered my 3 yr old in the fun run. Main race starts at 10 and fun run at 11(or so the website would have you believe) We was told we had to start at the same time!! so after 14mins of running 2km with my 3 yr old i then had to run another 3 quarters of a km to rejoin the 5k race by this point i was nearly at the back!! at the finish we got another cheap t shirt, identical to the one i got in bolton( i imagine all the legacy event race t shirts are going to be the same so no point in doing them all) . Not quite sure where my £10 went then. Then when i finally finished the 5km( or more like 6km with the fun run) i found out that the fun runners (my 3yr old) werent getting medals as promised and advertised but simply a small mens t shirt!!! Ive had to complain about all this and dont know if anything will come of it,but the thing was a joke.
