In short: A little bit more attention to detail needed for 2014!
In full: This is the 3rd time i have run this race and it,s one of those events where everything normally goes like clockwork, So the few glitches this tear seemed magnified!-First of all, Although they ststed on the event home page that the 10 mile finishers would receive mugs this year, They did not remove the line "Every finisher will receive a medal" which attracted some criticism. Secondly there was a false start which did not affect me, But it must have been frustrating for the elite runners, lastly they were a bit slow posting the results this year. However the positives far outweigh the negatives for this event, It has a fair priced entry with entry on the day available, A fete at the start which is great for families and the 2 mile runners and 10 milers on the course see each other running in the opposite direction. The event is also great for spectators as they see their runner twice on the loop of the playing field at the start, They can then cut through 2 streets and see there runner at mile 6 before making their way back to the Recreation ground to see their runner finish!-This is a great event and i,m sure the glitches will be sorted out for 2014!-As long as i,m healthy and not injured-I will be there!

In short: Great race run like clockwork as usual
In full: Great race this; hard enough to make a decent time a good result, supremely well organised and marsahalled and nice carnival style set up so well done on the 29th race. Looking forward to the 30th anniversay one next year! The mug is dishwasher proof so hey will be great for gardening.

In short: Good race but no medal
In full: I enjoyed the race and thought it was well organised. However I don't understand why you got a medal for running the 2 mile fun run, but only a mug for doing the 10 miles. It did state on the Course Details page of the website 'there will be a medal for every finisher in each race' so I was disappointed by the mug. I would run this race again if there was a medal instead.

In full: Bar the false start, it was a nice, pleasurable race. For the first time, I really enjoy this race. Even the uphill Beehive lane was fun. Course challenging in parts. All in all once again a well organised event and worth doing. The only negatives is for the first time you get a mug for finishing rather than the medal. For £17, you feel like a mug for running it. Chip-timing, not sure the need when previous years without was acceptable and could save money on entry fee. Still a great race anyway.

In short: Well organised and friendly. Only downside was getting out the car park at the end! Pleasant scenery

In short: My first ever race, it's got me hooked and I can't wait to do it again next year!
In full: Baddow races is the first time I've raced since doing cross country at school, 7 years ago!
I was very nervous as I've never ran that far before but it was great!
There's a good mix of people, not everyone is competitive and there were enough people doing it at a leisurely pace for me not to worry about getting left behind!
The scenery's nice, but do take an allergy tablet before if suffer from have hay fever as you do pass a fair bit of rapeseed.
The marshalls were great, they did an excellent job of keeping you safe from cars and also were so encouraging when the race got tough.
There's a lot of locals who stand to cheer you on too, which really does help and makes the atmosphere brilliant.
I only entered the race to raise money for a charity close to my heart but I enjoyed it so much I hope to enter many more races.
My only suggestion for improvement is newbies could do with a bit more information, perhaps an email or something with some FAQ's would do the trick.
