In short: Lovely friendly race overlooking the river.
In full: Small, but lovely race. Organised by a fellow runner, Kaja, who does a GREAT job, running as well as organising.
I thought it might get boring doing laps, but in fact it was nice running up & down the river, because you could support each other as you passed by.
Good view over the Mersey/docks.
No time limit, so runners over 7 hours welcome.
Super medal in box, & nice t-shirt.
Totally flat PB course.
Barry the Baton helped me get a PB of 5:24!
I'll def be back for the new year races.

In short: Flattest marathon in UK.Excellent 2 day event. Very friendly. Perfect PB potential
In full: Previous two ratings say it all really. A real runners race, needed to be strong mentally with the laps but in the end I knew the course by heart so no nasty surprises. V small field , friendly, enjoyed the high-fives. Got a PB by 7 minutes. Fanstastic marshalling. In fact some of the most vocal and supportive marshalling Ive ever come across. They deserved a medal too. Well done Kaja and team for organising. You did well. Great engraved souvenir medal in a case . Would do it again . Hello to all who took part :)

In short: Very friendly, flat, low key event.
In full: This is the second of these events I've participated in and they've both been very enjoyable.

It's 4 ups and downs along the Mersey on a near dead flat path (the only downside is a few bits of cobbles and it's all concrete/paving stones so a bit hard on the joints).

The advantage of this is that you get to see the other runners multiple times for a high five or a word of encouragement/humour/sympathy.

Easy parking, simple, low key events and raising funds for charity not to mention that the organisers are top people!

Won't be for everyone, no crowds of support and the scenery can get a bit dull when you're on the last leg of the second day but I really enjoy small scale events like this, and would recommend them to anyone.

In short: running along the Mersey
In full: Enjoyed a longer stay than I have had before in Liverpool. This is a great excuse to visit a very interesting city ... wish I could've spent longer there, maybe I'll have to do another.

I found the hard running surface (stone, concrete, and paving slabs) hard on the pins, and the four times out and back makes this challenging, but Kaja puts on a great show!
