In short: Cool, needed some shopping for my missus In full: good race, could have done with some more (visible) distance markers as a first timer at this race.
I thought it was going to be flatter than it actually was. Loved the bands, especially the geysers at the village, Im sure they had just arrived from a gig the night before!!! you know who you are! Scenery's a bit crap but you're gonna struggle around Dartford.
I'll be back Thanks Date of review: June 10, 2011

In short: Great organisation and great atmosphere with great support In full: As others have said the second drinks station should have been water and more Gatorade at the finish, the wasteage is something which should be changed, overall this is a great event but as it becomes more popular the small touches seem to get less which is a shame, also I much prefer the old start with seperate boys and girls but I will be back next year!! In short: Excellent race, well worth doing. In full: This was the first time I have done this event & roped in last minute by a friend who has run this event every year since its start. I hadnt done an event for nearly 2 years & this has given me the bug to get out doing them again as I used to. We ran the 10k together and I was his pacer/kick up the arse buddy!! He warned of the steep hill but luckily for us I love a bit of hill work & he responds well to harsh encouragement!! T-shirts are lovely bit of kit & I wore mine to the gym today. Medals are very good too. I agree with others in respect of the water stations. I did feel smaller bottles or even plastic cups of water would be have been much better and less wasteful. After all, people generally took a couple of swigs then lauched the bottle to the kerb. Apart from that I thought it was a great race & thoroughly enjoyed myself. I'm currently trawling through forthcoming events to get the next few booked up. Date of review: June 8, 2011

In short: Got potential but must try harder next year In full: This is the 3rd time I have done the Bluewater and I have to say despite it being fairly well organised I felt it was better the previous 2 years. The course is good and reasonably fast if a little challenging after about 5K with the hills and so not a good course for first timers! Change of sponsor meant Gatorade was being dished out and a LOT was wasted at the drink station at 8K. A better use of the drink would have been free samples and some water bottles in the Race Village as you were encouraged to be there at least an hour before the race. Fun warm up before the event and Sweatshop should have had a stand as the race was over for most before 10 and the shops don't open until 11... so it was off home for brekkie rather than out spending! In short: Well organised, enjoyable race. In full: This was the first time that I had done the race. I was really impressed with the organisation - no problems parking, plenty of loos, not too crowded at the start and en route. Would have been good to have gatorade and water at both drinks stations and in smaller bottles. I did struggle to see/find the km markers along the route! Nice t-shirt and medal. Well done to all involved - organisers, marshalls, volunteers etc. Date of review: June 7, 2011

In short: nearly all so good In full: I would agree with most remarks it was very well done, the hill at 4-6 ks was a surprise as i thought it was undulating(1st time i have done this race) Little things to make it fantastic next year for me would be a sweatshop stall( iwent to another race 2 weeks ago and the running sponsor did a roaring trade) goody bag items in or dont do it and a valuables/kit lock up(had to keep cash in car and missed chance to spend but again thanks to organisers and support will be back to try for that 43 mins i was after Date of review: June 6, 2011

In full: This was my first race in 6 months thanks to shin splints so it was great to be in a race again. Deceptively challenging with those rolling hills, but many thanks to the angel that shouted encouragement at me when I was wlaking up one of them. I'll be back next year to break the 50 min. In short: Good value, friendly race In full: My second year of running this race, and I would do it again. The good quality Adidas T shirt is worth the entrance fee alone, and the medal is one of the best I've got. I thought the organisation was fine. Plenty of parking and loos, both portable and in Bluewater shopping centre. There weren't any pace makers this year (certainly not for 65-70min runners like me!) but I didn't find them particularly helpful last year anyway. There were km markers for each km, but some were on the other side of the road or behind trees so could have been difficult to spot. There are some quite tough slopes on the route, so maybe not the best race for a complete beginner, but the atmoshpere was friendly with plenty of non-club runners. I agree that the 500ml bottles at 5k and about 7-8k were a bit wasteful but they were appreciated. The three bands on the route were very entertaining. Date of review: June 6, 2011

In short: A friendly 10k, well supported, great medal, good technical t-shirt (choice of sizes too). Not a scenic route but a few slopes to keep you engaged. Easy parking, toilets etc - will return 2012. In full: Would suggest Gatorade at first station then water. Also not in large bottles (as so much is wasted). Thanks. Date of review: June 6, 2011

In short: Second best medal ever.... behind London Marathon! In full: A professionally staged 10K over a pretty challenging course on closed roads. As mentioned above, an excellent medal and also an excellent Adidas running top which justified the entry fee, although the “goody bag” seemed to consist of flyers for Bluewater shops…
A gripe would be the handing out of 500ml bottles at the two water stations – a couple of swigs and they are discarded – what a waste! Also, a lack of distance markers across the course, I may have missed some but pretty certain there was no 9km marker.
Overall, an excellent 10K event and one I would happily recommend.
