In short: Nice scenery, flat course, good medal.
In full: I got there only 15min before the start was due and had no problem parking in the station car-park over the bridge from the start, I'd imagine you would have got caught up in a bit of a jam if you arrived at a more sensible time. This was a similar run to the Brentwood Half-marathon in Essex, but flatter! Once out of the industrial estate at the start it was off into the Kent countryside. Found it a bit blustery in places. Fairly good marshalling with no major traffic problems. Very nice medal and bananas & oranges at the finish.

In short: Still the best Spring half in Kent
In full: As always, this year's race was very well organised and marshalled etc. It's a big race to stage in a town the size of Paddock Wood, but the organisers deal admirably with the attendant traffic and logistics. The course is very flat, but this doesn't always translate into fast times. The course is very exposed to the prevailing weather-which this year meant strong winds-and its very flatness may lull runners into going off too fast and paying for it later. The organisers deserved credit for their flexibility in delaying the start for 10 minutes to overcome a problem in the baggage area (and the late queues for the toilets ?).Overall,it's a well organised, potentially fast pre-London half that's probably reached its limit in terms of number of entrants.

In short: Good race, well marshalled. Start delayed, the course can be a little boring as it all looks the same

In short: Flat & fast & very well organised - but that wind on the way back -ouch!
In full: My first half marathon & my quads are suffering today. Lovely course with pockets of excellent support where available on a mostly very rural course. Excellently marshalled.
Was doing fine till 9 miles & then the wind decided to show me you can't trifle with a half marathon; suppose the 1hr40 will have to wait till next time.Water & sponge stations were superb. I suppose it's a shame where the start\finish is located, but the rest of the race was excellent.

In short: A very nice course, definite PB Potential
In full: The start and finish area are in an industrial estate and its about 400m before you get out onto the route proper through the town and into the country. So I don't think the Start/Finish is a problem at all. Nice, scenic course, good organisation and potential for a PB, although not for me on the day :-( My first time, but I'll be back.

In short: Lovely scenery, fairly flat, but heat and wind a bit of an issue this year
In full: Fantastic first half marathon. Lovely scenery, plenty of water/sponge stations, traffic not a problem, fairly flat(although what hills there were seemed to all come in the last 3 miles!). Heat a bit of an issue until mile 6, but then good neutral conditions until last 3miles against the wind. Appreciated the fruit at the finish. Quite a few supporters, but no-one clapped people as they finished!?!?!? (except me when I'd finished). I'll be back.
