In short: great potential for a brilliant course!
In full: A fantastic course, really interesting and great idea to have a 10K and 5K loops! Good start and finish area and pie and pint was a nice touch.
I have a few constructive criticisms but this shouldn't detract from this race, totally appreciate this was the first time this was organised and the course was so nice I think it could turn into a really popular event with a few tweeks!
My tips for next time would be:
- you need a clear finish line, runners were unclear when to stop running
- people at the end acknowledging runners coming in. It's hard work running a 5K and 10K and a few claps from marshalls at the finish line makes all the difference
- a small token for winners? Even if it's just 1st man, 1st lady back?
- water station at the finish
- the course markings were good and clear but just needed maybe 1 or 2 extra ones, I got lost in the big field cos the ribbons had blown off!

Well done to the organisers though! Great start!

In short: A good effort for the 1st running of this event
In full: Ideal setting for a good 5 - 10k trail run.
A lot of effort put into this to make it a success.
Excellent end of race mememto - pie & a pint.
I can see this event gaining popularity.
Will be back.

In short: nice slightly challenging trail run
In full: Organisation was excellent.Friendly staff and marshalls(puts some of the bigger races to shame on this score)Route was exactly as expected.Muddy, wet and lots of jumping over puddles.Few flies in the mouth and eye didnt help chasing my pb but very enjoyable race that I would recommend to any budding trail runner.Well done to all!
