In short: Good girls' night out In full: I've said "maybe" to doing the race again as I would probably do others next time, but I would recommend this race for beginners in particular, as well as ladies who want a good night out. The organisation is very good but as someone else mentioned, I would have expected a little more in the goodie bag for the price (although I fortunately had a discount code). You get a running vest and a medal and it did seem as though they listened to the feedback they received on Facebook from last year, so no doubt it will be even better next year. All in all a good event but probably more for beginners/those wanting a night out than the serious runner. Date of review: July 20, 2011
In short: Ladies' night In full: This run is nicely organized although I would never pay the full price to get in so unless I'd find a discount code I would not pay all this money, I would expect a few more freebies (compared to the Adidas Women's challenge where you get double the goodies for half of the price). I did run the 5K as I was running the British 10K the following morning and I find this is best as you also don't have to queue so much for showers and treatments. Goody bag contained a huge bag of popcorn, medal a Vita coco 500 ml drink, small elemis samples, an eyeshadow and some vouchers. The showers were clean and had some products inside.
I was surprised Asics would not give a small event discount for the clothing on sale: £25 for a running t-shirt?
Overall good run, although very expensive, I would have thought the sponsors would pay towards some of the facilities. Date of review: July 11, 2011
