In short: Works up a good appetite for Sunday Lunch.
In full: A great course to test your flat speed and hill climbing. Rewarding views at the peaks of Pen Dinas and Constituion Hill. A brilliant, no nonsense goody bag at the finish. Thanks AAC, I'll be back again next year.

In short: An excellent race, ideally suited to a cross between a whippet and a mountain goat.
In full: The calm, sunny morning duly turned to wind and rain just before the race. I found myself starting faster than planned just to get warm! The Pen Dinas climb is mostly fairly gentle but it is made worse by the slippy mud and running water on the narrow, gorse lined path. The descent was "interesting". I wore road shoes and concentrated on staying vertical! Others wore trail shoes - the intelligent runners' choice. I know that the view from Pen Dinas is brilliant but I didn't see it on the day.
Descending on the road back over Trefechan bridge to the harbour was a chance to pick up the pace again. Fast running along the prom only brought the challenge of Constitution Hill closer. This reduced me to a wheezing, arthritic shuffle, which was soon forgotten in the sweeping descent and the sprint(?) finish along the prom to the bandstand. The marshals were brilliant- happy and encouraging despite being soaked and chilled. Good goody bag, very welcome tea followed by a late lunch in the greek restaurant made this an excellent day out. I'll be back again next year. Diolch yn fawr, Aber.

In short: Tough race in tough conditions but worth it for the scenery and cake.
In full: A pretty tough race along a windy prom and up two of Aberystwyth's famous peaks - Pen Dinas and Constitution Hill. Glorious views at the peaks which made the climbs worth it. Great and sufficient marshalls, generous goody bag and t-shirt and ample tea and cake to reward us at the end. Thank you AAC!
