In short: .
In full: My first Woodhall Spa 10K and my first experience of the heat on a 10K. Start was undefined and the finish could have been a little wider. it was a little disconcerting seeing finishers sprinting in and almost barging into the slower runners entering the 'paddock'. Water stations good and sponges were vital in the warm climate. A nice audience along the run kept up momentum and excellent facilites including free swim afterwards if desired. A big thank you to Gina Warrener who pulled me along the last 2 km!!!

In short: Very Hot but lovely and flat, PB was beat by 2mins.
In full: This was only my 2nd race as did the Daffodil run 10km at Kelmarsh Hall. That was another hot day and alot more steep hills. Managed 47mins which was pleased about. Woodhall spa was extremely hot will little shade, flat though and clocked a 45.22mins. PB potential next year.

In short: hot and conjested
In full: This is my local race, and every year it gets bigger. This year I found it really congested, mybe a change in route again would solve this problem, how about going right out of Jubilee park and up the broadway on to Horncastle road and left into Sandy lane(I know this would cause roads to be closed but an extra pound on the entry fee should cushion the blow. Champion chip would also encourage a lot more entrants. I do like attending this race but would be put of in the future if it was on this same route for health and safety reasons.

In short: Too hot for a PB
In full: Lovely course with great countryside, not a lot of shade though. Runners struggled with the heat, making a Pb almost impossible. Atmosphere though was excellent, which made a great day.

In short: Soooo hot ! good course if you like running in the country side
In full: I have only entered one other race prior to this, the Lincoln 10k, and i must say i enjoyed that far more than this one, although the Woodhall 10k is flat i didnt find it any different than my training runs in the country side, as a visitor to Woodhall spa it would have been nice to run around the village, there were plenty of supporters at the end of the race but not alot around the course to keep people motivated, it was extremely hot and i found it a struggle, thank goodness for the drink and sponge stations,it seem to run smoothly and on time, very well done to the organisers.

In short: Flat, v v hot, v little shade!
In full: The start wasn't well signposted - could we have a banner or something across the road next year so we know when to start our watches please?

Some support at the start, more at the end but very little in between.

Big thanks to the people at the water stations - I was SOOO glad to see you!

In short: Scorching!
In full: Well organised friendly race. Just got burnt to a crisp! Can we have some bins at the start? I had to walk 1/2 mile back to the car to dump a water bottle!

Great day, see you next year!

In short: Must be one of the best 10k's in the country.
In full: Plenty hot enough for a fast race, brilliant course and great start/finish area. We, www.SleafordTownRunners.com had 22 runners here and they all had a good day and got very good times. We will bring many more runners next year, a sea of red and green in glorious Lincolnshire the Toonie express.
