In short: Enjoyable and worth doing if you fancy something different.
In full: Rare opportunity to do a relatively short night race, accessible to anyone with a sense of adventure.

Note to organisers: Please don’t say they’ll be km markers or a water station if there won’t be, and there’s not much point providing a map / description of the route if you’re going to change it completely.

Because it is so unusual I’ll almost certainly do this race again next year. I'd recommend two torches, in case one fails - the field spread out quickly and it was really quite dark.

In short: Needs some fine tuning but this event has definate promise.
In full: There is a real need to properly identify the route not rely on markers for another race(s) that happens to share some of thet tracks along the way. Would hve helped if there were distance markers to show the 10K route the other markers were just confusing !

In short: Exciting idea but shocking organisation from 2:09.
In full: The race provided a stimulating run through the dark forest, and this in itself was enjoyable and exciting. But there was no water station, no distance markers, no marshalls and a certain amount of confusion between the marathon/half marathon and 10K routes. For £15 it was a dreadful rip-off. The course I ran was just over 12K. 2:09 events need to have a think about this one.

In short: what a pity
In full: This night race seemed to have potential for an entertaining race but was let down by the organisation. All went well as we started. However it soon became apparent the waymarkers were barely adequate in the dark and there were no marshalls at all out on the course.
The only distance markers were irrelevant, being for parts of a marathon which overlapped the course and there was no water station at 5k. Lack of signage in one section meant a large portion of the field ended up running along an unlit road in the dark and adding another 2.5km back to the start. Good humour was kept up between the wanderers though which was very welcome. Glad it wasn't raining!
