In short: A tough hilly course for 1st timers (like me) but thrill of finishing is great
In full: this was my first ever 'race' and the hills were very punishing for new runners but had great support from marshals and other runners. The scenary is lovely and makes for a great run on a bright day.
not PB material but well worth the challenge for everyone.

In short: those hills, not for the faint hearted.
In full: First time this year I've done this race route well put together by Jason Chapman you can always expect some really testing hills, but when youhave finished going up theres a fair share of down hill as well.Really freindly marshalls to help you along and a goody bag and t shirt at the end.Put my name down for next year.

In short: Well organised, well marshalled, scenic but tough hills!
In full: Loved the atmosphere with plenty of runners milling about before the run chatting. Everything was well organised, almost like clockwork, everything signposted well and always someone happy to help! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone(do a bit of uphill training though!!!).

In short: Outstanding race (but mind those hills!)
In full: I ran this for the first time this weekend. I wish I'd done a recce as the hills were a big surprise. Well run and organised. Very friendly folk running the event and chip timed. The goody bag was excellent (banana, money off sweatshop and a ron hill t-shirt with the route on)

I'd definitely do it again - if only for the views when you get to the top of the hills. Beautiful.

In short: Easy like a Sunday morning
In full: Still consider myself a newbie with less than a year of running under my belt, and a little too much timber under said belt. Any fears I had about getting lost were quickly cured at the first corner. There were good km markers and the course was well marshalled and signed with still vimto squash at the half way point. Got a great goodie bag with a banana bright yellow t shirt to match and a few other bits including a £5 voucher. Thanks

In short: Well organised and marshalled race but oh, that hill!
In full: Good, friendly race. Long climb up to Hartshead Pike but worth it for the view across Manchester, if you have time to stop and admire it, that is. Then take the brakes off and let gravity take you down the other side. Good fun :-)

In short: Long climb - nice views.
In full: About a 4 km of fairly hard climb up to Hertshead Pike, but worth it for the big view over Manchester and surroundings and the long run back down.
