In short: A well organised race with great atmoshpere
In full: I would say undulating rather than flat with a couple of short uphil sections. Easily a PB possibility (with the right weather conditions). Will certainly be having another go at this race next year. Well done metres to Miles!

In short: Great course for a first Half Marathon
In full: My first Half Marathon and I really enjoyed it.
Nice flat course through quiet rural lanes and villages. Plenty of friendly encouragement along the way from local people - thank you it helped !! The last three miles were a challenge with strong headwinds but battled on and finished within my target time. Nice T shirt which I wore all night. A BIG THANK YOU to all
organisers,helpers and Metres to Miles.

In short: Fab, fast and fantastically organised
In full: Travelled 300 miles to take part in what was described as a PB course half marathon. The wind in the last 3 miles put paid to that however it was excellently organised and there was a friendly atmosphere from marshals, supporters and runners alike. Well done to all at Metres to Miles, a running shop well worth visiting. It was definitely worth the journey!

In short: Really well Organised Half that I would run again.
In full: Great course with some slight hils so you have a good chance of a PB (If it is not windy). Very well supported in all the villages you pass through. Water stations good nice to get a bottle instead of cups :-) Well run by the guys from Meters to Miles. See you next year :-)

In short: A race organised like clockwork
In full: Can't fault the pre-race and on-course organisation. Entries on the day taken, clear instructions at the start, mile markers bang on the right place and marhsalls at all relevant points.

The course is a fair one - a couple of little climbs but nothing much, but what made for a tough race was running into a strong headwind for 2 miles at the end.

One slight disappointment was that the prize ceremony was advertised for 1pm, so having sat in a cafe killing time, we got there at 12.40 to be told they'd already dished out prizes to the first 3 (I was 3rd) and that they would not be awarding vets prizes on the day (my wife was 4th and therefore would have got a vets prize).

Having said that, a race I'd recommend

In short: Really good race around the North Lincolnshire Countryside
In full: Really enjoyed this race, which I entered as a warm up for a full marathon next month, and came away with a PB!
The Autumn sunshine made for a beautiful run through the countryside, and although the headwind in the closing miles was tough, it's almost entirely flat, making for a fast race.
Thanks to organisers for making it all go so smoothly and special thanks to all the marshalls, and local people too, for great encouragement all around the course.

In short: A half worth doing next year
In full: The Isle of Axholme half marathon starts in the beautiful village of Epworth and takes in the local countryside. Support along the way in the villages which you pass through and friendly atmosphere. Professionally organised by Meters to Miles and a great running shop worth visiting for some expert running advise. PB potential on a calm day.
