In short: Excellent organisation, great atmosphere In full: Loved this half marathon and managed a PB on a tough course. If you put the work into training this course will reward your hard work. Organisation was brilliant, totally traffic free, good start with open roads allowing field to thin out. Very well supported by locals in the ciy, villages and running clubs alike. Lovely medal and decent goody bag with a few bits of food in for the end! All in all I loved this race and will definitely be back next year. Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Great organisation, great medal, nice route. In full: Genuinely surprised by how nice this one was. Straight uphill for the first two thirds, straight down for the final. Through some lovely villages with lots of support and ample supply of water. Lovely medal for all finishers and more car parking than you could shake a stick at. ... Coventry did good! In short: PBtastic In full: This is my 10th half marathon and I knocked over 6 minutes off my pb. A great mix of up and down hills making this a fast course with fantasic PB potential. Medal was good with the bonus of an itab insert sent through in the post with my name and finish time, completely unexpected and all for the entry price. The hills were not significant. The organisation was great and i will definitely be back again next year. Date of review: March 7, 2015
In short: well organized In full: this is the second time i have run this race, the course was slightly different to last year, the event was well organized, great info in the race pack, I had my time text to me within minutes of finishing, well supported all through the route by both marshals and public, kids were handing out all sorts of sweet treats. would recommend this race Date of review: March 5, 2015
In short: A well run event with great support In full: The people of Coventry came out and supported this run in style. There were lots of cheers, people handing out sweets and keeping us going. The run through the countryside was lovely and made the trip worthwhile. I have pre registered for next year
I would advise anyone to make sure that they get to coventry in plenty of time as we queued for car parking for about 15 mins and had to rush to the start.
In short: Well thought out course & well organised In full: Being my home town course, I had to give it a go. Race starts early (9am) presumably to avoid Sunday shoppers. The course itself is a really good mix of town and country. The climb at 7 miles is testing but not OTT and leaves you with enough in the tank to get you home on the downhill stretch. Water stations are well placed. Under 4000 took part which means even the slowest runners are over the start line very quickly. A striking medal and goody bag awaited finishers along with a banana and water. I will definitely be doing this again next year. Well done to the organisers. Date of review: March 5, 2015
In short: CoventryHalf In full: Good event fairly well organised, only a couple of minor gripes 1 they changed the route slightly from last year and I think they should have kept it the same 2 official race photo costs are very high Date of review: March 5, 2015
