In short: What a mess!
In full: Getting your race number and chip was a farse, this was my third time i'd done this race and things seemed to be getting better year on year. But this year there just wasn t enough people giving the numbers out for amount of people competing.Post the numbers out and avoid all the problems.
I have no problems with the marshalls and the rest of the staff, and i would like to thank them for the shouting of encouragement at times round the course.
My last moan is the medal its the same as last year no date, its the same in every way they must have bought in bulk.It was the same with the t~shirts when they used them same for two years.I know things are tight at the moment but not getting a bottle of water at the end ?
But saying all this i love clumber and will do it again but please sort it out,put the price up a little if need be!

In short: Great course, some undulation makes things interesting
In full: Took a minute off my PB, so loved it! Start delayed by 15 minutes because only two people were handing out numbers, and the electronic timing system crashed. But lovely scenery and a challenging course made this a race to remember.

In short: Just get the organisation right !
In full: I have done this race several times and the early chaotric organisation had improved year on year . But this year back to shambolic. One Step Beyond should be ashamed of the pre race arrangements. I keep coming back cos of Clumber

In short: Lovely scenery, but that's it ;-(
In full: race start delayed by poor organisation handing out numbers and chips, (why weren't they just posted like at most other races?!)
very poor water stop
only half a cup of water at the finish
results and prizes an hour late

In short: Should do postal race numbers, a bottle of water and an energy bar at the end - £13 is not cheap!
In full: Two grumbles first. 1 Step Beyond should do postal entry to avoid shambles of race numbers collection this year, I waited 40 minutes to collect mine.

The previous review said how special the goody bag was, they must be an fan of quality plastic, as there was little in the bag, a wrapped sweet the size of a single sherbet Love Heart and a sweat band. The Organiser need to understand runners want a drink, an energy bar and in the cold/wet perhaps a reflective sheet for warmth.

The medal is very nice.

Despite the rubbish cheapskate organisation at the start, the stewards were great. I felt encouraged at every corner and will try again next year as Clumber Park is great, we spent the rest of the day there - in the rain!

In short: Beautiful run, Great Fun, but too much lining up!
In full: I love this race and returned to do it again, and will keep turning up again and again :D. I love the goody bag and especially the medal great quality.

The only issue were registration and finding out official times. Registration seemed not as organised as in previous years, 2 queues for 500 people!! So no surprise the race started late. And unfortunately just as I got to the front of the queue for my finish time the computer system broke so no joy there.
Despite all the queues and hiccups I still adore this race!
