In short: Fun family orientated set up - great 10k race though - glorious weather made it a lovely day out too

In short: start a bit problematic if you've not done the race before!
In full: I do vaguely remember seeing something about start instructions and that "someone always gets caught out", but have been looking thru website and I can't find them.
If the organisers know that there may be some runners who miss the start then putting a large banner marked START near the field where we sign in may not be a very good idea! yes I know now it was the fun run start! Didn't say fun run tho did it?
Never heard any warnings re better get going soon, was just lucky I saw a group of club runners legging it off in the opposite direction to me. I think a lot of runners were still walking up the road to the start when the gun/klaxon/whatever went off; I just saw everyone running away from me.
Still, it was a charity organised run, and I just hope by their criteria it was succesful(lots of money), and I had a very nice run thru lovely countryside and no-one overtook me(cept for 1 guy who missed the start even worse than me)

In short: A good course to run but let down by pre-race (lack of) organisation
In full: Turned up in Dedham an hour before the race start and nowhere was there signs pointing to a race HQ or any evidence that a race was happening on the day. Luckily there is a fair sized free car park in the town center and asked others where I was supposed to go. After signing up I still had no real idea where the start point was and only because i followed a few others did I find the start but by the time the race got going I saw many others behind me who were still making their way to the start. Really needed better organisation at this point. Race itself was great, friendly marshalls and regular water points.

Hope to do it again next year but for the sake of people who do not now the area at all please signpost where to go!
