In short: An enjoyable Sunday morning trail run
In full: Great for a Sunday morning training run; enjoyable sections following the river then some challenging uphill sections to get the quads burning. Good scenery too when I could draw the energy to raise my head up from looking at the ground.

In short: Changes to the route have made this a brilliant trail race
In full: I won't go into all the different terrain encountered (others have already done this). The new route is so much more fun than the original, which if it were honestly described was a road run with a short off road section. It is now a significantly harder event, and all the better for it. My only gripe, and this is probably just me (!) but why make us go round the sodding field at the end? I detest this, yet it happens all the time. If the route needs more distance find it somewhere else please!
Well done Frome!

In short: Fantastic event!
In full: Fifth year in succession I have entered (and probably first with rain!). The new route is superb. Would be hard going after a wet week, but was spot on. Lots of lovely scenery (as far as I could make out through rained-on specs!), with tons of variety - fields, bridges, short sharp hills, rivers (nearby, thankfully, as opposed to run through), nice medal. Terrific!!

In short: Variety, challenge and a sense of acheivement
In full: Probably should have been resting but thought I'd go for the views and a gentle run round. Ha ha, like I can ever do that?
Three tough hills but loads of great scenery, tree roots, mud, loose stones, riverbanks, stiles, cornfields, fast downhills, loads of friendly faces, two water stops, great support all the way round and loads of runners of all ages. A truly memorable race with a nice medal, a souvenir beanie hat and a goodie bag containing a good quality energy bar and a banana, both very useful after that run. Well organised event than ran very well and great kids mini races before the main event that were also well attended too. Definitely recommend this one even if I am really a road runner!

In full: Now thats what I call a trail race! very varied surfaces, river banks, clover fields, corn fields, grass, small amount on tarmac. Some challenging hills, lovely scenery, very welcoming event, very well organised and some great marshalls who made you aware of what was ahead and were full of encouragement. A very welcoming event. Thanks

In short: Great!
In full: Great run with good organisation and happy marshalls. Godd price too, with a great goody bag with a medal and a beanie. I know most people do not run trail races for the goody bag, but it is still nice to get a decent one!
