In short: Awesome race, lots of fun In full: Amazing race, my first 10k, and my first 'non-mainstream type run' (usually a GSR/Reading Half runner). The mud through the forest at 3-4k(ish) was loads of fun - people slipping all over the place in road shoes (ha ha), and the final 1k through the forest was fantastic.
Certainly a lot more hillier than I was expecting (especially the last 4k - seemed to drag on forever), but none the less, a great run and well organised.
Good combination of club/non-club runners made for a broad field of runners. Would be a great intro for new runners and/or people venturing off-road.
I'll be back next year to beat my 48mins :-) Date of review: September 26, 2011
In short: Not for the faint hearted In full: The course is rough and challenging in places but the organization is way worthwhile. If I get fitter in the next 12 months I'll do it again. Date of review: September 25, 2011
