In short: Great race, mud was just enough to make it enjoyable and not miserable!
In full: Well organised. Should have followed race directions to find the start rather than the Sat-nav - my own fault. Maybe distance markers or at least how far to go would have been helpful around the course?

In short: Glorious mud!
In full: Friendly short race with a good crowd of runners and some excellent muddy bits. This was sold out for 2011 and I can see why - well organised, friendly bunch and generous deal (tshirt, medal and mince pies!)

In short: Well organised and tough route
In full: Considering the race passes the bottom of my road this was the first time I have done it. Pleasantly surprised with the organisation and good to get a race that actuallt starts when it is supposed to and does not keep you standing on start line. Tough course with inclines at all points of course. Even though I use alot of route for training was surprised when you push yourself how hard the last 2 miles are.

In short: Beautiful location - a few niggles to iron out
In full: Glorious Kent scenery on the edge of the North Downs, enthusiastic support and marshalling and a nice technical T-shirt at the finish. On roads and pavements all the way, mildly undulating (up/down hill a lot) until 10 miles and then downhill most of the way back. A pleasant way to start a crisp autumn day.

A few areas with room for improvement: postcode for registration was wrong (I wasn't the only one driving round in circles on the wrong side of Maidstone); parking at the venue was a bit of an unnecessary palaver; footpath for 2 miles alongside the busy A20 was very narrow, making overtaking rather more exciting/suicidal than I'd like; and finish slightly marred by having to weave through cars trying to drive along the road. Address those issues and you've got a near-perfect event.
