In short: Great course and excellent organisation but seriously tough
In full: An amazing event and so well organised.

Rained for the week before so ankle deep mud for most of the course which made the uphill even tougher in places.

Unless you are a speed demon the last few miles are in the dark which adds a further dimension to the challenge.

But don't let any of this put you off.

In short: Muddy hell!
In full: Fantastic race with lots of added mud. Spent the best part of 9 hours in ankle deep water and mud. Great. I went over 3 or 4 times and was caked in it. The consolation of that was that my feet were so cold that I didn't feel any pain in them.
Also the wind at points was gale force and I couldn't run into it. Anyone who dare to open a gate on their own was flung over and required assistance to close it again.
All in all it was a great race and highly recommended. The organisation is great as is the route just glad I didn't have to come in in the dark.
Beware if you consider entering any of these events as they are as hard as nails but fun in a sick kinda way.
