In short: Great race, well oreganised
In full: Really enjoyed this race. I hadn't run properly since october through injury, so this was a good comeback race.
Everything went really smoothly on the day. Parking was fine and the marshall did a great job in the lousy weather at directing people.
Finish was good for the small field of runners, but the best thing about the whole event was the price. Would highly recommend Fylde coast running events.

In short: Well organised run
In full: First timer for this one. Well organised, marshalls were great & deserved a medal for standing out in the wind & rain - at least we were running to keep warm! Not a pb for me, but then training consisted of xmas pud, mince pies & choc.

In short: great race and a nice medal
In full: second time for me, and I again enjoyed it, it was a bit windy, but what do you expect when running outdoors. I traveled from Derby, and will do it again next year I hope.

In short: A great way to kick off the New Year
In full: Second time for me at this event - it really is a brilliant way to shake off the holiday excess and get a baseline time in the bank.
Very friendly, but quite a quick field so it does get stretched out towards the back of the pack. But there really is no shelter from the wind, so if the weather hits you - it hits you hard like this year.

In short: Did exactly what they said - fast and flat!
In full: A fast, flat (but not too exciting) course. Well organised although parking could be improved for the future. Very enjoyable, would definately recommend.

In short: Very well organised and a pretty quick route
In full: This is a flat course and a bit like links golf the only protection on offer to the course is the wind. It did blow a bit this year so was harder work than the previous year. Great way to start the year.

In short: bigger field this year . .
In full: but still went smoothly.

Weather was tricky with wind and hale during first hour. Most marshalls were good but there were only 2 water stations (4.5 and 10)with small water bottles.

It is certainly a fast course although the wind made me notice inclines more than I had done in previous years! However, I`m quite chuffed that I got a PB at Catforth for the third year running, this time by 3 seconds!

A very doable course with a decent range of abilities.

In short: Well organised and very friendly race
In full: Car parking was a bit of an issue when we arrived as they couldn't use the school field due to the wet weather but other than that everything else was great. Although there were a lot of club runners everyone was really friendly and in high spirits at the start of the year. Good use was made of the village hall and there were plently of refreshments on offer. The race was pretty flat, along winding country roads and the marshalls were excellent. I was in last place throughout the race but I was extremely well looked after with a marshall on a bike with me the whole way round and plenty of encouragement from the marshalls. I was even presented with a box of chocolates at the end, which wont exactly help me run faster but certainly made me feel good and made my day! There was a medal, kitkat and bottle of water at the finish. It was a small field but a lovely well organised and friendly race. A great start to the new year.
