In short: Great course but more like 13k....Course change for 2013 only 10k and a bit flatter too!
In full: Set at Mallards Pike (great for a picnic) weather permitting. This year was first race and was 13k and slightly hilly, very enjoyable though.
Apparently the course for 2013 is only 10k! and is a lot flatter :) should beat this years time then :)

In short: Disappointed that it was over the measured distance, and really hilly (not as advertised)!

In short: Way over 10k which ruined my sprint finish! Lovely scenery though and freindly organisers which made up for the miscalculation in distance.

In short: Not 10K but.....
In full: Not 10K and the organisers are aware of that. Also should not be advertised as fairly flat! Undulating to say the least, but wonderful scenery and a glorious day. I would definitely recommend this race, but maybe advise some hill work first! Up there with the Forest of Dean (properly measured) Half Marathon.

In short: The longest 10k in the world!
In full: It's been mentioned before but this 10k course was actually 13.3k! 30% longer than it should be an it appeared the organisers had no idea until the first runners came back later than expected. It was also far from the flat that had been advertised, undulating would be a better description and that would be generous! Also, the drinks station was providing 1/4 of a cup of water which given the heat seemed a little stingy. HOWEVER, the course was lovely, the atmosphere was good, the t-shirts look good and I enjoyed the run. Concerned about entering other events of theirs now but would consider going back to do this 8 miler again next year now I know what to expect.

In short: This WAS NOT a 10K!
In full: Definitely not a flat 10k as advertised. Finally crossed the line at 8.3miles with plenty of hills in between. However, friendly start/finish and small enough crowd that you get your name called out at the finish. Tshirt at the finish, but no goody bag as advertised.

In short: At 6.5 miles and came across a water station I assumed I had mistakenly read 10 mile race or I had taken a wrong turn, at 8.3 miles the finish line appeared , it quickly became apparent the route was in fact 2
