In short: Everything that you would want for a good marathon time. Great set up with everything at your finger tips.
In full: From sending the entry to crossing the finishing the race race organisation worked like clockwork......unlike my legs!

In short: Big medal but looks nasty
In full: More ups and downs than I remember from last year but probably only because I'm not in shape. Please forget about making the medal so big, it doesn't look good.

In short: First class organisation make this a very special race
In full: tzruns have put a lot of thought and effort into organising this event, and the result is a very special race. A great venue, superb organisation and communication - before, during and after the race - and a host of little extra touches (or not so little, in the case of the medal...) make this marathon stand out from the competition. Definitely a highlight of the year for me.

In short: A great and cheery day out.
In full: I was completely out of my depth on this race as I'm normally a trail runner so this was my first outing on road. After picking incredibly scenic races all year I had expected this to be rather boring and a bit clubby to say the least but wanted to do it as something new and to set a PB.

How wrong was I! The organisation was stellar and not a thing went wrong. The race director has massive and genuine love for what he is doing and that showed in his opening speech and transferred into the field of runners. There were all types of people out which was great to see everyone having a go and seeing so many smiles on the course. The showboating was a funny little aspect and I think I got my best ever running photo so can't complain!

In short it was a really fun day run with a lot of fun people and RUN by a lot of fun people. I'm definitely not a road runner and never will be but can see myself back here next year as it's just a fun day out!

In short: Very well organized, good facilities, friendly marshalls. Personal feed station is a plus. Awesome finishers medal compensates the "okey" 17 lap course.

In short: No detail was overlooked, great touches like names on race number, showboating area for fun photos, top organisation, incredibly friendly race directors, wonderful team of volunteers, loads of support for me, a first timer, from people I didn't know
In full: As a one loop XC kinda runner, the thing I looked forward to least was the laps. However, someone gave me the idea of pretending that one lap was one mile, so I was only running 17 miles... it worked pretty well! A lot less daunting prospect, and helpful to know what was round the next corner! It was such a friendly race, I think this filters down from the race director and his girlfriend, who were so welcoming. I got cheered on lap after lap by people I didn't know. Amazing medal that I will keep forever, and really liked the goody bag. Oh, and the home made cake after the race, celebrating birthdays and 100 marathon achievements. Cyclopark is an outstanding venue and I met an off duty manager who kindly let me have a go on his ElliptiGO. As a cyclist, this topped off an already great day rather nicely.
