In full: PB are prohibited by bottlenecking within the first part of the course unless you are sub 40 min 10k runner at the front. However it was still enjoyable with lovely scenery.

In short: Vastly improved
In full: Totally agree with the review below - it's nice to see organisers taking note of previous concerns and acting on them. All the issues that often affect races of this size (toilet queues, bag storage) were non-existent, the course was fast and flat and the atmosphere great. The race as a whole has a more professional feel to it this year, and is essentially a scaled down version of the HSBC 10k that Cardiff hosts in September. Congrats to the organisers on a job well done!

In full: an incredible lack of organisation at the start can you imagine a chipped race where a large entry are shuttled back hundreds of metres and told vaguely to start by those trees!useless!!even then the course measured6.03 miles

In short: Fine as a Fun Run, but not as a Race
In full: The second time I've been celebrating a massive PB, only to find the route was short (remembering Cardiff Half Marathon 2010)
Pity is, it's so nearly a great event! A few comments for the organisers: Great to have 'K' markers, just make them accurate? Great to have chip timing.....just use it?....Oh yeah, don't move the start after everyone has lined up - you tend to get people ambling along with headphones on, in front of serious club runners.

In short: Echo comments about poor organisation. Charity race with no pens so lots of beginners at front, late start with no proper chip time. £18 OTD entry seemed excessive as park not closed to general visitors

In short: St David's Day 9.853K
In full: Nice atmosphere, good flat route, average organisation on the day. It started 15 mins late, people were pushed into the front of the queue for the start. Only a gun to chip time as course was 147m short of 10K. Found out after the race which was disappointing.

In short: Nice route, let down by organisation
In full: Great route and potential, nice and flat so should be pb potential if well organised. Start was a shambles and led to lots if slower runners near the front. Also, crazy queues to pick up chip timers, should have been sent out in advance. Shame, cos this race has great potential in a great location. Had the feel of a fun run rather than a race

In short: Irrelevant results because gun to chip, not chip to chip
In full: An OK race overall, although could have done without the military style-shouting-teenage marshals. Injured and pregnant so was running this for fun, but if I was chasing a PB I would have been dissapointed as they timed it gun to chip, rather than chip to chip. As it took me over 2 minutes to cross the start line, my results were way out. Luckily had my trusty Garmin to give me an accurate time. Probably a good race for beginners.
