In short: A tough one but worth it In full: I ran last year's inaugural outing and made sure to get in for this year's as well. Excellent organization and start venue with, unusually, decent and enough loos (it's a large Wetherspoons pub). Course is rather, erm, lumpy and has several little kicks left when you think you've climbed the last one. But it is Cornwall ... nice pasty at the finish. No can of Tribute this year (boo!) but still fine value. See you next year. Date of review: March 17, 2013

In short: Ran last year, ran this one and planning to run next year! In full: Excellent race, I can't wait to do it again. It is very hilly! And the big climb at Budock is just evil! I used this race as part of my training for Worcester marathon in April, so a PB wasn't in my mind, so I tried to go slow and enjoyed it! Date of review: March 17, 2013

In short: great event In full: It was great for the first time, maybe next year will be even better. Managed to get a new PB even though the some hills were just plain evil. As someone already said, those cones by mile 11 were nasty, just an evil mind would put them there. The climb at Budock was the worst for me. But in general I loved it and I cant wait to do it again! Falmouth has such nice atmosphere. The goodie bag was great. Date of review: March 18, 2012

In short: Hills hills hills! In full: Great race and my 4th in 4 weeks. I almost broke the 2 hour mark, which i was well pleased with on such a hard route. Really enjoyed this one, but think it will hurt tomorrow! Date of review: March 18, 2012

In short: A glorious run in near perfect conditions. In full: One or two nice up and downs but it is Cornwall. Date of review: March 18, 2012

In short: Great race -shame about the water! In full: I not a local, just working in Falmouth for the week and saw this race advertised so I decided to give it a go. Paid on the day (£15 Affiliated) which turned out to be excellent value for money. Race HQ in the local Weatherspoons was a little hectic and the toilets got very busy. A free pre race massage was on offer as well as a mass warm up before the start. The route - "hilly" is an understatement! it is a challenging course with quite a few steep hills especially a soul destroying one at mile 10! The mile markers seemed to be spot on and the marshalls overall were very encouraging. The only major gripe I would have was the quality of the water at the water stations with the exception of one official station (mile 9) and an unofficial station early on in the race, the water tasted awful and smelt like neat Dettol -I almost chucked up on the spot. Luckily I had a small amount of energy drink with me and I had to make it last the whole race. Fair play to the organisers though because when I spoke to them at the finish line they were very apologetic -perhaps a "taste test" would be worth doing in future. Bananas,Cornish Pasties and water were given out and the goody bag was excellent - promotional bumpf, kitkat, biscuits, can of beer, a coaster and a voucher for a free glass of champagne! All in all fantastic value for money and a challenging course, slick organisation particularly given that this is the first time this event has taken place. If the water issue could be sorted out I think Run Falmouth will only get bigger and better next year and will be one of the "must do" races in the south west. Date of review: March 18, 2012

In short: Excellent first outing for this race In full: It's in Cornwall so there are going to be hills but that said, this is a brutal course. Add a good five minutes to your usual half marathon and be prepared to hurt a bit. Well organized especially for the first outing - start venue is a huge Wetherspoons, plenty of loos, plenty of drinks afterwards. No complaints from me for parking, marshals or organization in general. And great value - a medal, chocolate treats, pasty and a can of Tribute. Well worth turning out for.
