In short: A tough course, especially when you get to "king of the hill"

In short: Good Atmosphere- well run event
In full: I liked the coconut water! I agree water stations with bottles would be good, it is difficult to drink quickly from a plastic cup (you spill it!)
Very well run, well marshalled and well supported. Nice unusual medal at the end.
Local for me I would do again

In short: Urban & rural town half. Well supported.
In full: Some good support around the town. Fast first 6 miles mostly downhill. Slow 2nd half of race due to gradual incline most of the way back in. Also a lot of pavement hopping required so not the quickest of courses. Good start and finish location.

In short: Suprisingly challenging
In full: Nice atmosphere around course. King of the Hill (chip-timed) a nice idea. Pavement running is a slight nuisance. On the whole rather good.

As in other runs I would be happy to pay a little extra for bottled water. I trust the Runners World site too much, so when it said 8am start I planned my arrival for that....4th vehicle in car-park!....Finally whoever is responsible for that coconut water should be...er....forced to drink it, ghastly stuff.

In short: Really great race
In full: Very well organised. Plenty of loos and water stations. Lovely crowds. Fun hill in the middle. Very nice medal that was a bit different from the usual medals. Good value - will do again.

In short: Better than expected
In full: Agree with a previous review, drop the coconut water as it wasn't good. Thankfully there was water too. A really well organised event, I was thankful for 4 drinking stations as it really started to warm up for those of us at towards the back of the pack! I thought the atmosphere and buzz at the start/finish line and around the town was excellent!

In short: Enjoyable race with nice touch of the king of the hill, with good local support along the way
In full: As its only in the second year it has the feel of a seasoned event, well organised, helpful marshals, a nice route and a great atmosphere with good local support especially were it matters at the finish line.
One tiny grumble please drop the cocunut water at finish line, yuk
