In short: A very well organised event and nice t-shirt and goody bag. Weather was ideal for running. As mentioned by others only real down side is the narrow lanes at the start (and I started in the front group)
In full: I enjoyed this race even more by the fact I could run it then go back to the guest house for a shower before turning out to cheer in the marathon runners. The marathon brought out a very proud day for my family as my brother did a pb (2hrs 41mins) and came in ninth, whilst my dad also did a pb (3hrs 15mins) and won the over 60s category, well done to both of them. Hopefully these two performances will get me out properly training again.

In short: Great race, has to be my race of the year! excellent scenery, good organisation what more could you ask for - and the weather was perfect!
In full: Race started on time, was a good route - the first 2km was rather crowded but after that the route was down hill and then along past the river.

Great goody bag at the finish and really nice to run into the stadium to finish the run.

A bit of a hill near the end but it was great to run into the stadium with lots of people cheering you to the finish line.
A great goody bag at the finish
Only downside to the day was the lack of toilets at the finish.

But overall a great race, we were lucky and the weather was perfect - a good chance of getting a P.B.

In short: PB possible in lovely setting
In full: Weather was superb for running after gales of day before. Course was narrow for first 2k but organisers did warn of this. Fast course with good organisation in stadium and at start. Can't really comment on shuttle bus as I didn't use it, but the queue did seem quite long? Great atmosphere in stadium at finish and superb goody bag, one of the best. Will be back again.

In short: Lovely run...pity about the transport
In full: An absolutely beautiful course, quite flat, no big hills. Found the last 2km's felt very long, especially when you can hear the stadium sounds but cant see it. Very disappointed in having to stand and wait for 1 hour for the shuttle bus back to the start. Felt a bit abandoned, not sure of the reasoning behind this and there were no marshalls about to offer help or to tell us when the bus would be arriving, this was a slight dampner at the end of a very good race which was otherwise very well organised but it would not put me off doing it again.

Fantastic goody bag, looking forward to tucking into my tins of Baxters soup! Overall really enjoyed it and will be doing it again next year!
