In short: always enjoy Run Liverpool events! In full: Great race as always from Run Liverpool. Loved the training top instead of a goody bag. Finish area much better organised than last year. Start area was a bit hectic further back. Spectators standing in the way of runners trying to get in the start area, people jumping barriers/pushing people out of the way etc. I don’t actually think it’s any fault of the organisers, it happens at a lot of races. People need to accept if they are late for a race than they have to go to the back not jump barriers or barge their way to the front. Maybe just a few more marshals further down the start area would help?
Also nice one to the photographer that got a picture of the guy who kicked me and nearly knocked me over on upper parliament street. I hope he felt ashamed of himself when he saw it!!
In short: Good course around the city with a good atmosphere In full: Start line confusion needs sorting. Most races of this size have designated pens why does Liverpool have to be different in this matter...Organisers could learn a lot from the likes of BUPA. Date of review: April 2, 2012
In short: My first half marathon four years ago and have come back every year since In full: Great race for the fast and slow runners. Well organised parking is very close to the start. In short: Nice city race - weather was kind In full: No starting pens making the start a little congested as everyone found their pace. Hill at the start but fairly even after that and nice home stretch along the prom to the finish. Good support from crowds and tech t shirt and medal to finish. Well worth the trip!
