In short: a beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning - running the tracks of Telford, with the scenery and history of Ironbridge to top it off
In full: Remains one of my all time favourite runs. Not run it since 2010, and so this was my first experience of the clockwise route around the gorge. I always found the Silkin Way, an easy hill, if such a thing exists, as you could find a rhythm and really work the climb. Now that is no more and instead Darby Rd hits you like a brick wall. Just as you recover the path on Rough Park takes it's toll, leaving you spent by the time you reach the tarmac of the Silkin again. When it all seems to be over the short sharp climb up from Randlay Pool acts as the cherry on the cake. If you want a race where a pb might be on the cards look elsewhere, this is about the beauty of Ironbridge with crowds lining the bridge itself, and then the virtual solitude of some tough climbs. The marshalling and water stations were well resourced, and encouraging throughout. The goody bag, is spot on for the cost of the entry. My only complaint is to provide a more detailed course map on the website. As a local I was aware that the course had changed since 2010, but the published map was not clear enough. That said having survived the second half, I now know what is required next time. Well done Telford Harriers, once again an excellent race, and as long as my shifts allow I intend to be back again year in year out. Thank you.

In short: Killer hill between 8-9 miles did me but probably the beers the night before didn't help! Loved the run - I'll be back next year with reinforcements!

In short: Well marshalled, Hilly course.
In full: Well done on putting on this event. special thanks to all the marshalls and crossing Ironbridge was great. Hilly at 8 miles was tough.

In short: Glorious scenery, very well organised simply magnificent.
In full: Everything was spot on, good advance info (just add the postcode of the car park to the material), clear start area (an indication of finishing times would help split this up a bit), well marshalled, great weather, glorious route fast first half (downhill) tougher second half, bastard hill at mile 8 (we were warned in advance though) and then gradual incline to finish. Minor issues such as not having a tent to put baggage in should it have rained and the usual more toilets and smaller T shirts please. I treated this as a marathon training run and did 4m before, then raced and did 3 after. The 3 after were very very slow! Goody bag and Boost bar were very welcome. Great race and organisation, i'll be back in the future after a bit more hill work!

In short: Sunshine, slopes and sweat...
In full: Have only done one half marathon before and that was 6 years ago, so was a bit apprehensive about entering. I needn't have worried, had a great race. The route was scenic, the undulations challenging, and the atmosphere was terrific. Great support all round, particularly over the iron bridge and the finish line, and the marshalls. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Definately not PB but loved it.
In full: A great route loved the fact it was mainly off road, but don't expect a PB the last 5 miles is basically all up hill. Thanks to the organiser I will be back.

In short: Undulating means very very Hilly - A challenging but worth giving it a go
In full: 3rd year of running this so I must like it. Gloriuos scenery and mostly off road so no traffic for most of the course. I managed a PB today but not great potential as such a challenging race. Organisation was great in most parts but in places could be improved. A little bit clubby but overall a great atmosphere and a race worth trying. Especialy if you like Hills !

In short: What a great Race
In full: This is a hard race to run, but the marshalling, scenery and a good athmosphere. Hats off to the Telford Harriers for doing an excellent job again! Not PB potential, but ideal to finish with a scence of achievement, that you have conquered that horrid mountain (Cough) hill. This is a race I will do again. Thank you... Oh and one suggestion for 2013. Could we have a medal next year? pretty please xxx

In short: Lovely weather, almost traffic-free, enthusiastic marshals, nice mix of runners.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable race in perfect conditions.
The climb back in second half is no way near as bad as some would suggest, I guess it depends what you're used to. Great to be away from the traffic for so much. Good support from a relatively sparse public (the Ironbridge itself and Start/finish excepted).
My one gripe is the lack of the promised tent for baggage, a square of open ground sheet isn't enough, those of use who eschew private car use depend on some provision for our affairs and their literature did promise us it.
