In short: Superbly organised race for all runners
In full: THE race to start the year off. Exceptional organisation with heartfelt encouragement from the volunteer marshals. PB potential very high if you avoid the back of the pack at the start as only downside is the narrow pathway for the first 1km.

In short: Really good race - fantastic organisation
In full: This is the most impressively organised London race I've seen. Great volunteers at registration, baggage drop, marshalling and at the finish. Course pretty fast - quite a few twists, and need to watch out for errant dogs (the paths are not closed for the race), but mostly flat. Scenery fantastic - the glorious weather helped! Really high standard inscribed medal and technical tshirt at finish. Absolutely recommended and hope to be back next year.

In short: Superb start to the year's racing
In full: Family friendly event - Had a brilliant day rounding off the race with the afternoon spent in Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. Many thanks to all the many marshalls who gave up their NYD morning.

In short: A great way to to start 2013!
In full: I enjoyed this race and it,s the second year in a row i have done it, I felt really rough on the morning of the race and was,nt going to go (Not hangover-dodgy stomach!) But SWMBO! forced me to go saying "I,m not having you whinging"-"Wish i,d i have gone"! (To the race-Not the toilet-lol!) all day and forced me out the door! Even 20 minutes before the start i was considering pulling out with a dodgy stomach, But i,m glad i ran, My stomach held out,(Too much info???-lol!) I got a respectable time (For me) and had a good race, Finishing 30 seconds off my target time which i don,t think was too bad considering how i felt. The race is really good value for what you get, For £15 UKA Affiliated, You get a chip timed Central London race, A bag drop, A race momento and Water in bottles twice on the course and at the finish (This year was particuarly generous-Not only did we get the promised technical T-Shirt, We also got an inscribed medal!) and cheery marshals who actively and within reason and without upsetting the other park users were stopping them from crossing the paths of runners-Very much apppreciated!-The only negative is that for the first 1-2k the course is a bit overcrowded. With only 750 places available this race always sells out very quickly but i think it would sell out fast if even if they could double the number of places available-Thanks for another great NYD 10k Serpentine running club-Hopefully i,ll be back in 2014!

In short: Great way to start the new year
In full: Travelled all the way from Scotland to do this race. Great course and it never felt crowded with a good mix of runners. The sports towel at the end was different - who needs any more t shirts? I felt the race tough but probably standing out in the sub zero temp to 3am wasnt such a good idea before the race. Not sure i would travel all the way to London for New Year again but loved the race.

In short: Wonderful marshals, thoughtful and crisp organisation in delightful surroundings. Marvellous way to kick off the new year, and for this first time racer, it was a joy.

In short: Great start to the year
In full: Only issue was that as the park is open, several dogs ran across the path, one ran into my legs. But nothing the organisers can do about this!

Very well organised, and a pb on the first day of the year!
