In short: Nice Way to Spend New Year's Morning
In full: The course was interesting and scenic enough that the monotony which normally results from doing laps was non-existent. Marshals and organisers were very helpful and encouraging.

The course could have benefited from a more clear Start Line. I didn't actually see the sign until the 2nd lap.

In short: Great reward for a moderate new year's eve!
In full: Great race - thanks to everyone who made it possible, including all those enthusiastic marshals. Must admit that at ten to twelve the night before I only just saw off the temptation to excess, but what a reward the next day - so that's what a new year looks like with a clear head!

I managed to drop my car key in one of only two big puddles on the course, so if you were one the people who ran past the loony on his hands and knees in muddy water about 2km from home, now you know what I was doing!!

In short: Love the mug!
In full: A really nice event and great start to 2007. Despite starting the new year on a personal worst I really enjoyed it thanks to the friendly atmosphere and excellent marshalls.

In short: Something to do whilst the rest of the nation nurses their hangover!
In full: Did this race two years ago and was happy to do it again. Didn't have a hangover, but definitely a bit on the tired side, so no p.b. for me, although I was still very pleased with 40:41. Organisation was excellent, and the travel mug made a nice change to t-shirts that don't fit and fade in the wash!

In short: Marvellous start to 2007 - even after NYE indulgence!
In full: A wonderfully clear sunny morning, not too chilly. After heavy overnight rain some parts of the path were a bit boggy. The marshals are all very friendly and supportive and the atmosphere is relaxed. Good crowd support at the finish.
