In short: Unique and superb
In full: A wonderful race. Proper old-school x-country conditions - gates to be hurdled, ice, mud and rutted tracks to contend with - but in an utterly beautiful part of the world. The bore is extraordinary. The race organisation was pretty much faultless. I loved it.

In short: Need to get those legs moving quicker next time...OR......that wave needs to slow down!!!
In full: Second time at Beat the Bore. Last time round, dry and sunny and the rutted tracks were tough. Today a frozen quagmire made for even more tricky conditions underfoot! This race sounds easy on paper but its tough terrain despite being flat. However, its very quirky and charming, and the organisation and value for money is second to none. The other runners also made for an excellent race again.

Like the majority of the field I didn't beat the bore, but I did beat the bus back, so all was not lost!
Well done to Simon and the team cracking race!!

In short: 1 of 75 races run this year & still 1 to bore people with. We should keep quiet about this race. Felt like elite athlete by beating the bore. Pse keep format the same. Colin

In short: Quirky is the word!
In full: A fab event - putting the fun into running. Who wouldn't run fast with a bleedin' big wave chasing you (and it was impressively large)! Nice friendly bunch of people to run with, easter eggs at the finish and an extreme bus ride back to the start. Still smiling just thinking back to it - if you get the chance, do this race.

In short: Time and Tide wait for no man(or woman)
In full: A fantastic event and an amazing concept, Why not try and run 6.8 miles cross country along the bank of the River Severn and beat a 3* bore to the finish travelling at up to 12 mph at times? Chuck in a few stiles, cows and horses and you have the recipe for a great challenge. We had a headstart and perhaps next time a handicap system may increase the challenge for some. Thank you to Simon, Martin, Dawn and everybody else who helped out and to David for the double decked bus ride back to the start.

In short: what an excellent way to earn your easter egg.
In full: A joy to take part in. The list of attractions involved with the race were, the ample parking, the clean toilets, the clear directions to follow (water on the left, land on the right), the drinks station manned by danny and the finish with it's supports, a refreshing goody bags(with all you need) and the very personal finishers wooden medal. Also the double decker bus ride back to the start; thanks David. It was human against mother nature in the form of water, cows with some horses. Thanks Michael and Simon for the race. PS loved the muffins!

In short: brilliant idea, brilliantly organised
In full: its not very often you get to race nature itself so this as a concept is awesome, then you get to the race and meet the organisers and other runners and this event just gets better and better, everyone is very friendly the course in beautiful and challenging mix this with the meanace of being chased by a huge wave and you have the recipe for a great race. thanks to all that organised the race and a special mention for the double decker bus ride back to the start it capped it all off... please please do this event again. many thanks
