In short: Mixed In full: So many things about this race are well organised but then they usually spoil things by marking the course in miles not kms. This year they didn't even seem to bother with that, I only saw one marker at one mile and you do get two laps to check for these things.
Other than that its a toughish run around my local park.
My only other wish is they'd spend the extra 20p per runner and slip a cream egg in the mug you get at the finish. Date of review: April 22, 2014
In short: could be better In full: Could of had more mile/km markers. They didn't use a starting gun so wasn't sure when it started. Also i still dont know my time as there web site still isn't updated yet. Date of review: April 21, 2014
In short: Challenging race but very enjoyable - no PB for me but not far off In full: I really enjoyed this race as its a very local one for me and Wollaton Park is a beautiful place in run in. It was a challenging race butI think that's a good thing. The organisation was also very good Date of review: April 4, 2013
In short: Great race, very well organised. In full: It was the third year for me. Its a great race to take part in, no traffic and great organisation with well supportive marshals. There are a couple of inclines, but nothing that should hurt too much. Will be back next year - many thanks Notts Athletics! Date of review: April 3, 2013
In short: Pretty, traffic free, steady yet challenging and very well organised and marshalled. Really enjoyed it and could easily see myself back there next year! In full: It was windy and bitterly cold, (even lapsing into light snow on occassion) but that did little to effect the warm feeling I got from this race. The location was very pretty, entirely based in the grounds of Wollaton Park and I liked the mix of firm grass and tarmac paths. A decent flat, decending and ascending route made for a nicely challanging course without being too taxing and the fact it was over two laps meant you could really plan and strategise your finish as you went round for a second time. I took three minutes of my PB time and can only put that down to the extra spring in my step that I got from the excellent organisation, supportive Marshals and well thought out route. I don't often do the same race year after year as there are so many to choose from, but I may well make an exception for this one! Well done to everyone involved. Date of review: April 2, 2013
In short: A cold hilly 2 lap race In full: A nice if hilly race a little cold but fine once running. I was a disappointed not to get a bottle of water and a snack of some description, it was a 10K after all Date of review: April 1, 2013
In short: Great stuff, even with the rain In full: Great run, well organised, easy to find, free car parking and fairly popular. It was the second year for me and I'm looking forward to next year already.
It got a little tricky underfoot with the rain making things just a little slippy.
