In short: This could be the best local trail race I have run.
In full: The course manages to keep off road throughout and offers a constantly changing mixture of paths and tracks. Ten miles is on the long side for me nowadays but the quality of the course meant that I wasn't worried about the distance. Suddenly I'd look up from an uphill stretch and find a magnificent view.
I enjoyed the complicated route and the clear markings (essential for an event like this) were very easy to follow.
There were plenty of mashalls, all of whom were very supportive despite having to stand out in cold and grotty weather. I'd like to thank all of them for helping make this a memorable and well organised event.

In short: Horrible weather, amazing course. Made a cold wet day an amazing race. Fun, well organised and full of handsome marshals.
In full: Very well thought out course: bit of everything, and the guy at the front on the bike was HOT.Brought the joy back into running. Overheard talk of a half marathon next year- cannot wait.
