In short: Good and friendly organisers but could and should be better.
In full: Inaudible PA system, poor website, poor publishing of the results. 2 mile fun run was not given enough attention either. website does not have a route map for 2 mile run, only top 3 racers have their time published.

In full: The handheld race-branded water bottle was one of the most useful mementos I've received from a race! And that was in addition to the medal and goody bag ... excellent value.

For a unique distance, it was a shame that my Garmin measured the route as 6.33 instead of 6.55 miles. (Yes, I know not to take notice religiously of Garmin measurements in races, but thought it worth mentioning as the race itself is an unusual distance and the difference was quite significant)

It seemed to be a very well supported race and the marshals were all enthusiastic.

In short: Good to see new organisers have saved the race!
In full: David Lloyd Pacers made good fist of running this race for first time. Plenty of water stops and cheery marshalls. Tough course, but enjoyable. Wide range of runners with many beginners!

In short: New organisers did a great job for a fantastic cause. Lovely fun atmosphere with races for all the family and nice touches with the goody bag for children and plenty of trophies.

In short: Mixture of park, road and short trail with a few hills.
In full: Great one to bring the family too. Bouncy castle, fun fair rides, cafe and public transport. Course is fun. Jelly babies at the bottom of a hill on mile five were a nice touch.

In short: Great local community feel to the race
In full: I've done the Bushey Quarter several times and it's always a good morning out. There are a number of events for different ages and abilities, with kids' activities in the park and massages provided by Bushey Spire Hospital physios. The new organisers, David Lloyd Pacers, are a local running club, so I think this will have an impact on making it a friendly, community-spirited event. The course has a couple of hills (enough to make it feel challenging) but nothing too terrible.
