In short: A great opportunity for PB for all
In full: Agree with other raters re the chip timing. I had to take 35 seconds off my time starting so far from the start line.

Good course in the park, a number of slow inclines but mostly on the flat. Superb T-shirt. JogScotland doing a great job in getting people running/jogging/walking.

In short: Enjoyable, Friendly event
In full: I enjoyed this one. PB! Weather good if a little windy. Course is fairly flat so definite PB potential on this event. A good event for beginners as there were runners with a wide range of abiities taking part, from top athletes to walkers. I do agree with the previous comments about the use of chip timing using the gun to start, it really should be individually activated as you cross the starting line. Good event all in all. I will be back next year.

In short: Large field, well organised, nice flat (ish) course. Mixed ability welcomed so a fun time guaranteed
In full: Loads of good stuff to say about this, despite the very large field (over 2000) runners this year, the event was well organised and all the timings were spot on.

Staggered start let the elite runners blast away from the start line whilst us mere mortals didn't really get held up too much by the few slower runners/walkers that stood near the front of the starting group.

The course is contained within the park, and only had a couple of slow shallow inclines to bother with, definite PB potential and also an excellent first-timers event too, loads of people jog/walking so you won't feel left out.

In short: What's the point in chip-timing that is activated when the gun goes off, instead of when you cross the start line??
In full: Doesn't it defeat the purpose? It didn't really affect me as I started up the front, but what about the people further back? Apart from that, was a very enjoyable race, nice scenery, wide paths, well marshalled, fab goody bag.

In short: fun, well organised race at a very scenic venue
In full: good race, well marshalled and great scenery. good value for what you get in the goody bag at the end and an excellent massage therapist in the hotel to smooth out all the knots from the hilly course!

In short: That was good fun
In full: lots of people for a brand new race. lots of stuff going on at the hotel to keep the spectators amused. challenging enough course (gentle but lengthy uphill in the middle) to make everyone put a bit of effort in, but not so much as it would put off the beginner. Cracking medal at the end and smart t shirts.

an excellent promise of more good races to come from this venue.

jolly gorgeous marshals around the course... :)
