In short: A brilliant running weekend In full: If your a running addict and medal collector then this is for you. My favourite was definitely the East Grinstead, completely not what I was expecting, loads of mud, stiles and hills, it was great. The marshalls and all the helpers at all the races were superb. It really is a fantastic weekend. Date of review: May 8, 2014
In short: FANTASTIC WEEKEND OF RACES! Challenging, rewarding, fun, friendly - fab!! In full: Third time doing all 3 races and will be back next year! Great marshalls, friendly runners, superb cameraderie. Excellent mix of 3 very different courses and terrain - seriously steep off-road hills, woodland, tarmac road, muddy footpaths, everything! Good refreshments, brilliant prizes. Fantastic weekend bringing huge sense of achievement. Date of review: May 7, 2014
In short: fantastic weekend of interesting courses In full: Great marshalls and organization even though I had to fast walk it all everyone very encouraging Only one downer and that was in Haywards Heath having to go past the finish for your second lap when half the field are already finishing!! In short: Wonderful series of races In full: This was my first crack at the three race event and I thoroughly enjoyed every one. The organisation was superb and the marshalls were excellent. I`ve never seen such a friendly and helpful group of people. The first race at East Grinstead was my favourite, wonderful views of the reservoir and some challenging hills. Would recommend and I look forward to returning in 2015. Date of review: May 7, 2014
In short: Well organised, excellent marshalls and good courses. In full: Despite some problems with the chip timings (which was not the fault of the organisers and they have tried their best to rectify), these three races are very well organised. The marshalls are all fantastic and deserve some appreciation.
The courses themselves are very different. All three are challenging but in differnet ways. There are styles to climb, muddy spots to navigate (despite the good weather), cross country, tarmac road and at one point, a farmers driveway.
A good way to do a "marathon" of sorts. Date of review: May 7, 2014
In full: Ran all three races this year, enjoyed the event very much. One small point the wearing of headphones was a real problem for the lead runners at burgess hill. A multi lap race means most runners will be lapped sometime, and so most are aware of faster runners approaching from behind. The lead runners should'nt have to weave around people jogging along oblivous to everything. It is clear just asking people not to wear headphones does not work.
