In short: Great organisation, Nice scenery, Excellent marshalling, Fab T-shirt!
In full: Positives: A nice course taking in the race course and town centre, pretty flat with only a short climb (done twice due to town centre lap) so good pb potential.

Good mix of athletes, elite/club and unnatached runners. I would recommend this race to new runners as a good starting point for entry into competition style races.

The military warm up at the racecourse prior to the start was hilarious and got my blood and body sufficiently warmed up for the race itself.

Organisation was good, with ample car parking, lots of toilets and the organisers gave lots of important announcements over a pa that I could actually hear for a change. Makes a big difference when you hear all the info you need. Take note other events! Info and ample toilets!

Nice hessian style goody bag and the t-shirt is a fab.

Negatives:
Not much going on pre and post race, certainly not enough to keep runners and entourage interested until the prize giving took place.

Goody bag stuffed with leaflets and not much else, a t-bag, a penguin and bottle of water! Hmm, could do better!

Conclusion:
Great race for the first timer and the experienced alike. The racecourse is a stunning venue for the location of the start/finish and the support from the local community was enthusiastic.

I shall be looking to do it again next year for another pb!

In short: Great event fantastic organisation
In full: The event ran like clockwork, well organised and great support around the course!

The course is quick with only 2 inclines but a nice fast finishing 2k!

Please please please make this an annual event!

In short: Fantastic Professionally Run Event
In full: This was a fantastic race. Had two short inclines, but other than that no major hills to worry about. I managed to knock 3 minutes of my PB on the course, so think it definitively has PB potential. The race was well supported by the people of Doncaster, especially at the finish. The organisation was spot on, plenty of water available and lots of marshall on the course. I will defiantly be back next year!

In short: Not as flat as they make out but what goes up must come down
In full: Got stuck at the start despite starting where I thought I should. Garmin measured course as 6.33 miles so a tad over 10k. Nice to run round the town without the traffic. Would do again with it being my home run. Probably could do with being a bit cheaper.

In short: Brilliant inaugural race
In full: What a brilliant race this was! Organisation was spot on (with only a slight confusion at the split) and the the atmosphere was fantastic. Definitely a course for a PB....well, it was for me :) Absolutely loved the goody bag and the technical tee!!

Two little niggles. It's not flat if you come from Lincolnshire! lol And it's a bit expensive. Other than that, PLEASE DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!! :)

In short: got potential
In full: Great first race back after knee surgery and no racing for about 2 years.
A sneaky incline hidden in there. Which would not normally be a problem but a lovely head wind to go with it.
But the course has the potential for PBs.
Needs alittle better organisation on the loop as faster runners have to weave through slower runner at the crucial 8k point.
But no traffic. Good for spectators. Nice message at the end. Overall very good!

In short: Great event!
In full: Great race, closed roads, plenty of marshalls and support, great start and finish, excellent goody bag and technical red t shirt!
There were a couple of inclines on the course but still a quick one!

In short: Great race with a lot of nice touches
In full: Great to start and finish in the race course, the course is flat and definitely PB potential........without the wind. Was expecting to run at least a minute quicker but with the almost constant head or side wind it went from being a flat out effort to a tactical take it easy and push over final 2K. Nearer the front there was a common theme of expectation for faster times but plan on doing this next year. There was lots of encouragement from the people lining the course and in the houses.

One irritation was when lapping back runners they filled the road despite marshalls telling them to stay right then us at the front having to move to the right side to go past the race course to the finish but that in no way detracts from what could be one of the best races around.

In short: Super day, fantastic organisation. Great atmosphere!
In full: Fantastic organisation, arrived about 9am to a real buzz around the racecourse, a real good vibe everyone seemed to be smiling. (was specail as was on my door step practically)

A great corse which is practically ALL flat and I mean flat. Managed a P.B which made me even happier a good size crowd at the start and finish, plenty of marshalls around the course. Really was superb.

Would like to see this race become a permanent fixture.

Also the brooks tshirt is fantastic not one of the cheap cotton ones a actual running tshirt. All in all a great day. Thanks!
