In short: Brilliant organisation, very handy venue
In full: SP has everything you need from a race - easy to get to, plenty of parking near the start/finish, coffee shops and refreshments on site, easy for spectators to see runners on the course. The course is fairly challenging but not prohibitively so. My only mini-moan this year was the marshal at the sharp-turn around point (not entirely obvious until you were right on it) who was engrossed with his phone rather than making sure that no runners went the wrong way! Other than that, fully up to Purple Patch's usual high standards. Well done and thanks to all involved.

In full: Can only echo the previous comments. Can't really be faulted. Fifth time of running S.P. for me. It won't be the last! Many thanks to Purple Patch and all who helped on the day.

In short: Great mix of roads and trails
In full: Great course, surprised that there wasn't a bigger turn out, great area for supporters to view the race and get refreshments. Will definately be back next year. Chip timing might be a good addition if this event does get more popular.

In short: A good mix of trail and road, some nasty hilly surprises too.
In full: Good fun, shame more people did not enter. Trail running is abit sandy and feels like running backwards at times. Lots of room though and managed to run a PB, despite the cold. Lovely medal though, better than the Grand Union H/M medal in 2011 and 2010. Looking forward to the repeat race next year.

In short: As usual, a first-class Purple Patch event!
In full: Brilliant organisation and atmosphere - this race deserves to be much more popular than it is!

Well done to all the PP crew and club members for their excellent efforts and encouragement on the day.

In short: Very enjoyable race, a bit difficult due to the change of surfaces and couple of hills.
