In short: challenging race through field with one large climb. Great
In full: Smallish friendly race across and around ploughed fields. includes a 500ft climb over 2 miles between 5 and 7 and a couple of miles on country roads. Excellent organisation, friendly and helpful marshalling. add 10-15 mins to your normal 1/2m time and just enjoy the scenery.

In short: Tough and hilly - a good challenge
In full: An excellent, but challenging race. I was a bit unprepared for the 6 stiles and ploughed fields. No chance of a PB but a very good chance of really enjoying yourself.

In short: If you like playful, multi-tarrain and want a challenge!!!!
In full: Well organised, well marshalled, smaller race than the Great North Run, but great value for money, challenging course and breathtaking view. Ceiling of 500, but only around 100 per year, which means a lot of local runners must be missing out on a really good race. Classed as undulating there are some cheeky bits, especially the last cross country rise on the marcle at 5-6 miles. Made me smile. No chance of a PB but good chance of discovering if the inner man is there or out to lunch. I'll be back. Good facilities and co-incides with events at the rugby club from where it starts, so food and drink a plenty to refuel at the end. Would recommend far and wide.

In short: Literally, physically, metaphorically, breathtaking
In full: Very welcoming race, well marshalled, friendly, reasonably good organisation. One more marshall at the junction wher "someone" changed the direction arrow and allowed us some extra out and bacck yardage would have been good. No doubt they'll be discussing that for years to come. Undulating, hilly multi-terrain did not set my level of expectation for what we got. We flat footed road runners had an interesting time and thanked God it had been dry recently. What a selection of fields and countryside to run up, over and down, with scenes of breathtaking beauty and lung bursting hills to climb before you got the chance to appreciate the views! And don't forget all the stiles! Definitely not a PB race but a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Starting and finishing at the local rugby club, where other events were taking place ensured a good turn out for the finishers and the added bonus of hot BBQ food for sale and a bar to quench that recent thirst. Adequate facilities for the field size. Reasonable goody bag and T-shirt. Good VFM and I won't hold the organisers totally to blame for the moved marker although I'm not so sure about the fron runners.
