In short: No Toilets so run for the bushes...
In full: Course was a bit of a let down as you had to run past the finish line to complete the final 1 1/2 km... not too nice running past the finishing line with another 1 1/2 k to go as other whippets are finishing. Also there were no toilets and the nearest were over a km away from the start/finish unless you wanted to use the local shrubbery for cover...

In short: Toilet Gate!
In full: Firstly, Nice Work put on a number of events and they work like clockwork (i.e. clear route, well marshalled, chip timing and results on the website quickly) - however, there was one main issue with this event...

The nearest toilets were over 1K away which meant around a 2.2K return trip from the start line to go to the loo before the race started. This is really too far for a paid event - hopefully the start line can be repositioned for 2013 a lot closer to the loos!

As for the course itself, it was fairly featureless, but I could have guessed that beforehand, it is pretty well flat all the way round so quick times are pretty possible.

In full: A very nice easy flat jog along a lovely promenade.
Yes the toilets were a bit far from the start and yes you have to walk up a hill after the race to get to your car but I throughly enjoyed the back to basics attitude of this event after all we all enjoy a run not just the facilities provided.
A great little race.

In short: Nice seaside jaunt.
In full: Well the weather was certainly better than June!

A nice small event, friendly atmosphere and no real problems.

Bag drop was provided in Nice Work's vehicle, unlike many events where you just leave it somewhere.

Public toilets were available, but a fair way away.

I couldn't see all the KM markers after 1KM, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place!

But I enjoyed it,it was a nice morning. These smaller events often have a nicer atmosphere than the huge high prestige ones.

So, thank you Martin, and everybody involved.

In short: Could be so much better
In full: Disappointing race, and very poor value. Finding the start was difficult enough, directions were hopeless, no toilets, no bag drop (given the distance from the car) and had to help myself to water at the end, i know niceworks can do better than this.
