In short: Excellent organisation, great support, In full: I have done many bigger marathons but this one really stood out for me. The organisation was second to none, the support was amazing and the multi laps meant that water, jelly babies, gels, energy drinks etc.. were handed out every mile. Overall a great race and fantastic atmosphere. Date of review: June 23, 2012

In short: WOW! WOW! and triple WOW! what a fantastic weekend of fund-raising for my charities and publicity for my challenge. In full: The inaugural "Littledown Marathon on the 17th June 2012 at the Littledown Centre, Bournemouth, was a fantastic success for the Race Director Ade Holloway of Run Yer Socks Off and the Littledown Harriers that supported the event. The marathon was in support of my (Barry Light's) 60in60at60 Marathon Challenge and was a major fund-raising event for my charities. Everything about the day was spot on and to cap it all it was great to meet Martin and Liz Yelling and little Ruby - If you would like to read more then check out my full blog here at at http://is.gd/b1Pa7g Date of review: June 21, 2012

In short: small, friendly event In full: This was my first marathon, really enjoyed it (well, the first 20 miles at least).
Course was a little unusual being 26 laps of a 1 mile circuit. The repetitiveness didn't bother me at all and 1 mile laps meant more support, drinks and jelly babies every mile, and mile splits from the chip timing.
Organization was smooth, and there was a good atmosphere from participants and spectators. Also the only event I've been to where there was no queue for the toilets.
Only reason I'm not sure if I'd do this again is because I don't know if I'll ever do another marathon. Date of review: June 20, 2012

In short: great for starters In full: some tricky bits around a tree at the3/4 mark , narrow path around a root. chip timed where table of drinks was and constant cheering from the organisers and those sat on benches. no medals but tshirt at the start. very friendly and was the first martahon or long run where could see my family after every half a mile or so. quite funny. great picnic park and loads there.
