In short: Old school race
In full: This is like the old fashioned race, where PB is not essential, but having a good time is certain., The course is very good compared to other races around here, and when you finish despite your time it makes you feel like you have achieved something. Well done to the organisers!

In short: good scenery but lot of ups and downs. good facilities at the start plus homemade cakes and superior icecream. A very good technical shirt as a momento. All in all a permanent fixture in the diary.

In short: Well organised and marshalled race!
In full: My first time running the Saffron Walden 10k, and I'll be back for more. With a large changing area, hot showers, refreshments, a testing course, drinks station and army of marshalls there is little more to wish for. A bottle of water and quality T-Shirt at the end seal the deal though. I'll be back next year - hopefully thinner and fitter :|

In short: challenging hills and varied interesting terrain
In full: Well run from start to finish with lots of helpful marshalls and impressive facilities. Nice tee-shirt and bottle of water at the finish. Miserable weather unfortunately...dull and drizzly rain on and off. The first half has a long challenging uphill roadside section, second half is smoother and quicker apart from a cheeky stinker of a hill at the start of the last Km. Narrow tracks in some places make it hard to overtake near the beginning.

In short: I did enjoy this Multi-terrain race. Very well organised and friendly marshals. Quite hilly and narrow in stretches, but good down hills.
In full: I do think personal stereos should be banned from races as I had to shout at a man with headphones on to ask if I could pass him, and another got his wire caught on a branch.
