In short: A Hidden Gem In full: As a big off road obscure race fan, this event is perfect.
Our club, Northampton Road Runners took the event by storm and all went away happy, wet and muddy.
The extreme weather made the last few miles tough but total fun (forget tough guys et al).
Well done to Tony and the organisers for getting the event on and so smoothly after a last minute route change.
See you all next year. Date of review: July 30, 2012

In short: Brilliant race made more challenging by the recent wet weather! In full: Very challenging half marathon. It was a very enjoyable race and made more challenging by the weather. It was the muddiest and most flooded race I've ever run but it was good fun. The marshal's were all very friendly and encouraging. The medal, t-shirt and donut were very good too! Well done Adderbury Running Club for putting on such a great race :-) Date of review: July 14, 2012

In short: Challenging but worth it In full: A mainly off-road race is always going to be challenging with the rainfall this Summer. This didn't really become apparent though until the last few miles when running through muddy cornfields and other waterlogged fields.
Well organised and thanks to the marshalls although they seemed fairly muted. Especially liked the numerous water stations the medal AND T-shirt and the doughnut at the end. Great value.
I now feel confident to attempt my grade 2 swimming certificate after this challenge of a race. Date of review: July 14, 2012
