In short: A good race, perfect for what I needed; a competitive run incorporated into a training schedule.

In short: Come here for a PB if not the view
In full: Very efficient 4x2.5k race, not the most spectacular of views around a housing estate but the 4 laps gives you an excellent opportunity for a PB.

2nd time i've raced this now and knocked 2 minutes off last years time. Hopefully another 2 minutes next year too?!

In short: not an exciting course - but flat and quick
In full: Laps mean as a beginner I knew what was coming! It would be a great route for beginners and those new to races as its so flat. One problem - a narrow pathway through houses where the runners converge - including the funrunners. This means that the front runners have to negotiate us backmarkers, and the funrunners and I could see an opportunity for an accident. Children rambling all over the path not knowing that there are runners coming up behind. I shouted ahead to tell people to move to the left so those whizzing past me didn't hit anyone!
I have pointed this out to the organisers! Possibly a re-route of the fun run would sort that out?

In short: Bit of a boring course. The only thing worse than fun runners on the course are fun runners with Ipods. a

In short: 4 laps round Martlesham Housing Estate, finishing on the village green
In full: This race goes past the end of my road so I feel obliged to run in it.
Its a very flat course, with the drinks station outside the pub.
4 laps make this very beginner friendly race.

In short: Excellent super fast race, not to be missed
In full: Excellent race, 4 lap flat course that just asks for good times to be run. Excellent for spectators as they get to see you each lap. Not organised by a running club so dont expect the usual organisation, but dont let that put you off, the people that do organise do a very good job for a popular event. This race should not be missed!!
