In short: Nothing like the advert!! In full: Expectations were high for this race as I'd heard good things about such events (namely tough mudder), due to the glossy website and the somewhat lofty price tag.
What I got couldn't have been further from my expectation. To start, the parking was a shambles and at an extra £3 per car a troop of scouts would have organised it better. As for the run itself, apart from the first hills which were tough going, the hardest thing about the race was trying to overcome the delays due to either over-crowding/narrow track or p*ss poor planning on the obstacles. The course was nowhere near as spectacular as advertised and at one point I'm fairly sure I was pulling my feet through horse s**t.
In short: not what i expected ! In full: Being no stranger to these type of races i had been looking forward to this for some time but despite what you see on the official race video it never lived up to expectation, parking was poor, course was ok, not your normal race atmosphere seemed to be more bodybuilders than runners. general organisation was poor but medal and t-shirt were very good but at a price. I would like to say a big thank you to the kind lady doctor who helped me after my fall whilst i waited for the medic to arrive, being in so much pain i dont remember saying thank you !
